“I have really enjoyed the medium-shank version of the DC3. My first impression of it was that the fit and finish of the mouthpiece were excellent. All of the engraving and metal work were smooth with no rough edges anywhere. On the horn, the intonation felt perfect. The A in the staff tends to be a very flat note on my Wilson 2900 and I had no issues with bringing the pitch up there. In fact it felt easier than on my previous mouthpiece. Lip flexibility also felt easier and all of the partials across the horn were smooth and easy to slot with the mouthpiece. I think it is a great choice for anyone on a medium-shank horn!”
